He is a living monument of Congolese culture both in his country and abroad. Master Liyolo is distinguished by his perpetual search for excellence. An internationally renowned sculptor, he trained in one of the most prestigious art schools in the world, the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna (Austria), where he obtained his Master's degree in Art, the Magister Artium. Master Alfred Liyolo is one of the contemporary African artists who combine African influences with modern forms. He marked artistic history and continues to influence it.
